Atlantic Shed, Port of Newport

This project for Associated British Ports consisted of the design and refurbishment of a 7,200m2, gantry crane transit building.

The project included new structural steelwork including the foundations for the new ganty crane, new doors and the construction of a new gable end.

The building’s existing structural steelwork was repaired and fully re-clad and insulated. The existing floor slab was repaired and overlayed. Two new 30t and one 20t gantry cranes were installed.
